Our Matilda-themed production celebrates the brilliance, bravery, and bold imagination of a little girl who proves that courage—and a touch of magic—can change everything.

Inspired by Roald Dahl’s iconic story, we dive into a realm filled with:

From the classroom antics to the quiet moments of hope, this production embraces the spirit of standing up, speaking out, and discovering the magic within yourself.

🎭 A Cabaret Like No Other

This Cabaret brings the Matilda storyline to life through a rich and diverse soundtrack—not limited to music from the Matilda musical. Instead, we explore all kinds of songs that beautifully capture the themes of bravery, imagination, rebellion, friendship, and self-belief.

Through powerful singing, captivating musical theatre moments, and dynamic dance numbers, our performers showcase the heart of Matilda’s journey in a way that is vibrant, unexpected, and truly unforgettable.

15 Day Program of 4-5 Hour Rehearsals (breaks included)

• 🎶 Singing 1 Hour Singing Rehearsals: – Solo singing opportunities (audition only) and Group ensemble singing performances

• 🎤 Solo Singing Opportunities: (Audition only) Students will stay after class with their booked in private lesson to work with the vocal coach

• 💃 Dance 1.5 Hour Rehearsals – High energy dance numbers, for all levels and experience of dance

• 🎭 Musical Theatre 75 Minute Rehearsals – Acting scenes, high energy singing & dance numbers included

⭐ Student Expectations ⭐

To ensure every performer grows, succeeds, and feels confident on stage, we have a few important expectations for all students participating in this program.

🎶 At-Home Practice (Most Important Requirement!)

This program involves intensive learning, and consistent practice is essential.
Students must commit to practising at home every day, or at a minimum 3 days per week, for 15–20 minutes.
If a student cannot commit to this level of at-home practice, we do not recommend enrolling in this program.

📁 Access to Learning Materials

• 🎵 All lyrics, music tracks, and materials will be uploaded to a Google Drive folder.

• 📤 Access will be sent to families once the program officially begins.

• 🎧 Recorded class work will also be uploaded throughout the program so students can revise and practise confidently at home.

To keep our rehearsals smooth, safe, and productive, all students are expected to follow these in-studio guidelines:

🥤 What to Bring

• A drink bottle every lesson to stay hydrated.

• All lyrics, sheet music, and scripts for every class — these must be brought each week.

• Jazz shoes (if students have them). These are a great investment, especially for dance-heavy rehearsals.

• Healthy snacks and lunch for meal breaks.

  • 🚫 All food must be nut-free.

👕 Dress Requirements

• Students must wear their Cabaret T-shirts, which will be handed out during the week of the 12th.

Early drop off & Late pickup

• Drop of 30 / 60 / 90 minutes early for a small fee

• Pick up 30 / 60 / 90 minutes after class for a small fee

• Late fee for pickup: $5 for every 10 minutes late arrival
